Canning Garden Veggies


Denise and I really enjoyed our day making pickled beets ... 40+ jars; zuchinni relish and mixed yellow and green beans. The garden is still producing...tomatoes are turning red and the peppers and onions will be ready to make our homemade salsa and stewed tomatoes.

I made 6 jars of bloody mary beans...quite a pitiful stash for my winter fixes...bought the beans at costco but they were fresh ones! Your jars are more colorful!

I've got pizza sauce simmering as I write. I also made pickled green beans and my own V6 juice. Wish you were here to share with. Our garden has produced so much and we still have carrots and more beets. I've been eating grape tomatoes so much I'm afraid I'll get sick on them. I hope to make Pepper Jelly before I get burned out on processing foods.
