Happy Thanksgiving 2009
It was a fun-filled family Thanksgiving Day at the Gee's. As you can see the little kids enjoyed the chickens and the chicken coop! The big kids ate and crashed in any empty chair or spot on the floor. The tradtional menu of turkey, mashed taters, stuffing, gravy, homemade cranberry relish, and various other vegetable casseroles completed the dinner. Desserts included apple pie, pumpkin pie, pumpkin cheesecake, pumpkin roll, chocolate pie, and jello salad. I think there were 29 of us this year!

Spencer's Shagbark Hickory
This shagbark hickory tree was burned in Spencer's mishap
a few years ago. It was time for it to come down to be used
for firewood and a few hickory logs. The 3 Teds worked well
together using new rope, an extension ladder and the tractor.
Grandpa had the honor of running the saw. The rings showed
it to be about 108 years.
